About Dr. Ericka

Your Key Partner to Healthier and More Powerful Living

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and have been working in the field of mental healthcare for 17 years. I attended the University of Virginia for my undergraduate studies receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Afro-American Studies. Then I went on to pursue a masters degree in Community Counseling at The Citadel. Having a strong desire to further my education in the field of psychology, I went on to obtain a second masters and then the terminal degree, a doctorate, in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. My pre- and post-doctorate clinical experience was quite varied having worked in the full continuum of treatment settings: outpatient to inpatient to residential treatment.

I enjoy working with adult individuals, couples, and families to address their difficulties encountered in everyday living. I believe in the collaborative process whereby I offer my clients my psychological expertise and they bring with them their unique personal stories into the room. What you can expect from me is a “real person” who truly understands the human experience and that all of us at some point in our lives may need some extra help to overcome the bumps in our path. I am here to listen and more importantly, partner with you to navigate your challenges so that you can move forward to healthier and more powerful living. So let’s get started…
